If you’ve stumbled upon this post, it means you’re witnessing the very first step in my blogging journey. Starting a blog has been on my mind for a while. While I do blog for Perficient, my topics there are somewhat limited to the niche of technology where I directly work. This personal blog will give me a place to write about a wider variety of topics - although I expect to mostly talk about software architecture, development and technology.
The world of technology is vast and I hope to explore corners of technology I don’t get to work in every day. I’ve worked in Enterprise CMS, specifically Sitecore, for over a decade. While I have had a lot of opportunity to deal with a lot of data, service development and integration and more boardly in DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure, my interests are far more broad. At the beginning of my career, I did a ton of development that was database related - lots of Microsoft SQL Server stuff like stored procedures, views and triggers. I deeply miss working with data sets, where CMS is basically just working with whatever API the vendor gives you. Artificial Intelligence is also a fascinating topic I plan to explore.
Until next time
